Enjoy coffee Kmart and reading books? Visit 94 yr old isolated lady (Camberwell) We have a lovely 94-year-old female recipient in an aged care facility in Camberwell who loves writing and reading all types of novels including psychological thrillers. She would love the opportunity occasionally to head to Kmart at Camberwell Junction to buy a couple of things and grab a coffee. Do you have a spare hour or so per week/fortnight to spend time with this amazing lady? Volunteer visits are flexible to work around your schedule. About you We are looking for caring individuals who can sit and have a chat, reminisce and talk about topics of interest with elderly people. Our Volunteer Coordinators will spend time with you to understand your interests and background, and work to match you with a client in a suburb nearby who shares similar interests. Your impact Volunteering as a visitor is a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits on a fortnightly basis for a minimum of 12 months are required. Visits from volunteers help improve the quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy and happiness to the recipient you are matched with.
