Context statement Industry Development plays a pivotal role in the Department’s ability to support participation in sport and active recreation by all Territorians, so that communities are engaged, diverse and vibrant places where everyone belongs. The unit works closely with governing bodies for sport, as well as all affiliates, sport service providers, active recreation organisations, regional councils, aboriginal organisations and schools across the Territory to deliver the key strategies and desired outcomes of the NT Sport and Active Recreation Strategic Plan . Key duties and responsibilities Provide professional customer service to stakeholders by phone, email and face-to-face, ensuring queries are resolved promptly and thoroughly. Undertake administrative tasks such as setting up payments and reporting requirements for grant programs, drafting letters/emails from templates, issuing and checking vouchers, checking provider eligibility and ensuring proper information management including scanning and electronically filing documents, and maintaining/updating stakeholder details. Support the work of the unit, with data analytics and reporting and continuously evaluating and identifying opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact stakeholder experiences and improve the effectiveness of the unit’s grant administration. Organise promotion of the Sport Voucher Scheme program, including the development of an annual marketing and promotional plan, distribution of stakeholder packs, merchandise, signage and branding, along with participation at community events with occasional out of hours work. Selection criteria Essential Demonstrated competency in providing an administrative service including experience in the administration of grants or other financial assistance schemes. Good organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage workloads in a timely manner. Proven ability in the use of office-based computing applications. Sound written and oral communications skills, including the ability to respond to incoming phone calls and emails from stakeholders, assessing their needs and responding quickly and accurately. Proven problem-solving skills, can do attitude, high level of motivation and initiative. The ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
