Civil Supervisor

Scope To supervise project delivery works including safe, efficient and economic running of projects in conjunction with Operations Manager or Regional Manager within the local region. The position will serve the business nationally and supervise projects based on national needs and scheduling. Experience & Qualifications Qualifications Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision (Preferred) Experience Minimum 10 years in road/civil construction Strong knowledge of road reconstruction machinery Proven interpersonal and organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and written communication Organisational Relationships Reports To: Operations Manager Manages: Operators; Project-based resources Internal Contacts: Management Team; Operational Staff; Engineers; Workshop Staff External Contacts: Clients Key Responsibilities Quotation & Tendering Assist with supplier pricing, site/client visits, and productivity/methodology inputs Project Preparation Conduct site visits and identify risks Coordinate service location (DBYD and SPA procedures) Plan project methodology and resources Prepare documentation (PMP, SWMS, PRA, WI, ETP forms) Procure subcontractors and materials Develop traffic control plans Project Delivery Liaise with client supervisors and SPA Foremen/Leading Hands Ensure project delivery meets specifications and client expectations Monitor progress and implement improvements Update project programs and elevate contractual issues Ensure compliance with SPA policies and procedures Resolve operational issues promptly Conduct site visits before plant/resources leave full-service site Marketing & Client Relations Conduct client visits and provide technical advice Handle customer inquiries and dispute resolution Human Resources Deliver training, toolbox talks, and short courses Communicate company policies and resolve staff grievances Document HR discussions in collaboration with HR Advisor Reporting Report on crew performance, operator maintenance, client satisfaction, and workmanship quality Maintain written documentation for commercial and contractual matters Management Systems Conduct monthly site audits (QA, Safety, Environment) Perform Foreman resource audits Ensure compliance with legislation and SPA management systems Recommend system improvements Purchasing & Subcontractor Management Pre-order products and subcontractors Obtain competitive quotes Monitor subcontractor performance Plant Maintenance Coordinate with Project, Operations, and Plant Managers Ensure regular machinery maintenance Manage preventative and reactive maintenance efficiently Miscellaneous Provide feedback to senior management on company improvements Mark Waters Senior Recruitment Consultant ManpowerGroup is committed to being a Diversity Confident Recruiter and encourages applications from people from a diverse range of backgrounds, including people with a disability.
