We’re looking for an Assistant Buyer to join our Peppermayo family, who is passionate about products, data‑driven mindset and will be a key member of the buying team. We’re looking for someone who loves working collaboratively, understands our brand aesthetic and wants to continue our growth trajectory. About the role As an Assistant Buyer at Peppermayo you will help with the end‑to‑end product lifecycle, working with design on trends for the range, all the way through to it appearing online and in our campaigns. An important member of the Buying team, collaborating with all areas of the business. It’s an exciting role, that you can really make your own. What You’ll Be Doing Assisting the Buyer with managing and building a commercial, yet desirable range for our global customers. Analysing category performance and new collection launches for weekly trade meeting, talking through best and worst sellers. Maintaining bulk schedules and packing lists for factories to ensure bulk is arriving in time for collection launches. Cost price negotiations, on products within your category, strategising with factories to hit margin targets and knowledge of RRP's for certain fabrics/styles. Raising and managing purchase orders on new collections. Making suggestions for re‑orders and recolours of current bestsellers to the buyer. Assist buyer with product selects by researching market trends, and competitor offerings. Data analysis to make suggestions to the Buyer on rebuys, assisting in the Monthly SWOT, reviewing key learnings and must haves for future ranges. Supplier communication; maintaining daily contact with suppliers to manage orders, resolve issues, and build relationships. Collaborating with the creative team, to manage photoshoot samples, planning ecommerce/campaign shoot schedules. Review all new product before it goes live, checking prices, content notes, stock availability and communicating any issues. Using critical thinking skills to assist in problem solving with the Buyer. What You’ll Bring 2-3 years’ experience in a Buying role, preferably in a global Fashion business. Preferable experience in a fast fashion or volume lead business. Good negotiation skills and ability to build relationships with our suppliers. Ability to analyse data and use this to make decisions. Passionate about product and aware of global trends that could benefit the brand. A positive, proactive energy that thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative creative environment.
