Test Lead

Test Lead – Finance ERP Transformation We are seeking a Test Lead to join our team in Melbourne in a client‑facing role for a large‑scale finance ERP transformation. You will be the guardian of quality, shaping the financial backbone of a major organisation and ensuring its successful transition to a new Oracle Fusion platform. Responsibilities Design detailed test plans and cases for all finance modules. Lead the execution of functional, integration, system and user acceptance testing. Act as the central point of contact for quality, coordinating with technical and business teams to resolve defects and ensure the solution is robust and fit for purpose. Mentor and coach testing team members and embed best practices that lift overall capability. Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and communicate clearly and confidently. Qualifications Large-Scale Finance Systems: Proven hands‑on experience in functional testing of major finance systems such as Oracle or SAP Specific Financial Streams: Deep understanding of Source to Pay, Record to Report, and Acquire to Retire processes. Core Accounting Knowledge: Practical knowledge of areas such as General Ledger (GL) accounting, reconciliations, financial and regulatory reporting, budgeting, forecasting, purchase order management, invoice processing, and payments. Financial Principles: A solid understanding of core accounting and financial principles is essential. ERP Systems: Prior experience working directly with Oracle Fusion or an equivalent enterprise‑level finance ERP solution. Testing Tools: Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, SharePoint, and Confluence for test and defect management. Test Design: Proficiency in designing and creating detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts that align with business requirements. Lifecycle Management: Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and defect lifecycle management. Testing Execution: Ability to lead and conduct various testing types, including functional, integration, system, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Communication and Collaboration: Strong skills to work effectively with technical teams, business analysts, and non‑technical business stakeholders. Leadership and Mentoring: Ability to lead testing activities, mentor other team members, and drive improvements in testing processes. Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail to identify gaps and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
