Neurosurgery Fellow – Royal Children’s Hospital Applications are now open for a 12‑month full‑time Neurosurgery Fellow position (two start dates available: February 2027 and August 2027). Applications close 14 February 2025. Role Overview To develop diagnostic and operative skills in paediatric neurosurgery through the care of neurosurgical patients and their families in the wards, outpatient setting and operating theatres. The Fellow will also contribute to the education of medical and paramedical staff and participate in clinical research. The RCH is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce. The RCH is committed to the Child Safe Standards. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical care for paediatric neurosurgical patients in wards, outpatient clinics, and operating theatres. Develop diagnostic and operative skills under supervision. Educate medical and paramedical staff. Participate in clinical research projects. Essential Requirements Qualified medical practitioner with required credentials. Must successfully complete a police check and working with children check. International Medical Graduates must meet AHPRA English language requirements. Full vaccination against COVID‑19 and influenza (Category A & B roles) as per RCH policy. Compliance with RCH vaccination and immunisation requirements.
