About The Role The City Centre Precinct Manager will work collaboratively across all Council divisions to lead the delivery of the Revitalise Queen Street implementation plan, including the coordination of planning, consultation and development of the City Centre Precinct Place Plan. The role is responsible to drive engagement and enhance collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to achieve a City Precinct with high visitation rates as a true mixed use destination. The role is accountable for the presentation, community engagement and ongoing vitality of the Queen street precinct. The Precinct Management function is focused on coordinating activity, driving internal accountability and influencing the allocation of Council resources to produce the best customer services and experiences in the heart of our city. The City Centre Precinct Manager will present information to executive decision makers and direct the activity of the Precinct Working Group. The successful candidate will demonstrate the following key skills and attributes: Relevant tertiary qualifications in one or more of the following: land use planning, public relations, public policy, urban placemaking, urban design, urbanism, social and/or behavioural sciences or similar area Experience working on similar-scale place based / public domain / venue management initiatives Commitment to contemporary community development in a place based context Experience introducing pilot programs and change innovation Exceptional relationship building and communication skills Experience in conflict resolution Experience working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver initiatives and programs Experience in project management Commitment to living our values of respect, integrity, teamwork, trust and optimism.
