What does the job look like? As the Transport Solutions Manager, you will lead the Transport Solutions Team within Analytics and Design Services, driving operational excellence and innovation across Linfox’s national transport operations. Your role is pivotal in developing new operating models, reviewing current operations for efficiency, and evaluating emerging technologies and PBS routes for fit and compliance. This role is open to candidates located in Essendon, Laverton (VIC), or Oakdale (NSW). Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Transport Solutions Team, ensuring alignment with business goals. Manage and deliver transport projects end-to-end, meeting timelines and budgets. Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Develop detailed proposals and business cases that clearly articulate benefits, risks, and implementation plans. Enhance the team’s capabilities by advancing the use of modelling tools and techniques. Review and optimise existing operations for cost‑efficiency and performance. Assess new operational technologies and PBS routes, making recommendations for adoption. Are you the one? You are a visionary leader who drives meaningful improvements in transport solutions. The ideal candidate can demonstrate: Minimum 7 years’ experience in transport, logistics, or related industries with a strong commercial and operational focus Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects Deep knowledge of Australian transport regulations including NHVL, PBS, and CoR Strong analytical, consultative, and communication skills Experience with transport and warehouse modelling software and Microsoft Office Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related fields preferred Ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships across stakeholders Leadership of the Transport Solutions Team Project management and delivery Team mentoring and capability building Proposal and business case development Advanced use of transport modelling tools Operational reviews and optimisation Evaluation of emerging technologies and PBS routes At Linfox, we are passionate about creating an inclusive and high-performing workplace where everyone can thrive.
