Key Account and Business Development Manager With over 30 years of industry experience, Porter Plant is a trusted name in plant and equipment hire, specialising in dry hire solutions across Victoria, NSW, QLD, Tasmania, WA and South Australia . We support clients in civil construction , roadworks , utilities , renewables , and the government sector — and we're growing fast. As part of our growth strategy, we’re on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated Business Development & Key Account Manager to join our high-performing Victorian Sales team. About the Role Reporting to the GM – Sales & Business Development, you’ll be responsible for managing and expanding key customer relationships and new business across Victoria whilst maintaining relationships in New South Wales , and Queensland . Your key responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of existing clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction Identify, target, and win new business opportunities in key industries focusing on construction, roads and maintenance Negotiate and secure short- and long-term dry hire contracts Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver outstanding service and hire solutions Represent Porter Plant professionally across the construction and infrastructure sectors What We’re Looking For We're after someone who knows the hire industry and understands what it takes to build long-term, trust-based relationships. You’re proactive, strategic, and confident in a sales environment. You’ll bring: ✅ Experience in the plant hire , equipment rental , or construction industry ✅ Proven ability to develop and maintain client relationships across multiple sectors ✅ Commercial acumen and experience with pricing, tenders, and contract negotiation ✅ A solutions-focused attitude with a collaborative approach to teamwork ✅ A current driver’s licence and the ability to travel interstate as required Why Join Porter Plant?
