Why Your Role Matters We’re seeking a People Partner to join the P&C function supporting the Faculty of Medicine & Health who are working at the forefront of modernising medicine in Australia. Ranked as one of the world’s top 50 medical faculties, you’ll be working with people passionate about their profession. Responsibilities Providing trusted people‑focused advice and guidance to managers and employees in your client group Proactively partnering with clients to provide effective P&C solutions, no two days are the same Offering employee lifecycle guidance from performance management to line management Implementing P&C policies, procedures and improvements as an expert in your field Maintaining up to date knowledge of HR legislation and practices Providing effective P&C workforce reporting and analysis for informed decision making Supporting and mentoring our Advisors and Officers This role works alongside the P&C People Hub as well as dedicated Medicine & Health People Partners and Advisors. Reporting into the Senior People Partner for the faculty, you'll join a close‑knit team, furthering your career in a supportive environment which focuses on learning, progression and excellence. Who You Are We're looking for a strong HR professional with experience across a similar role in a complex and client‑centred environment; a strategically minded consultant looking for their next partnering role. As a confident communicator you’ll hold excellent stakeholder management skills with a strong client focus alongside the following skills and experience: Strong working knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and enterprise agreements, with demonstrated experience in applying these to resolve complex people matters Proven ability to manage employee relations and casework with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgement Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels Demonstrated capability to deliver timely, practical HR advice in a dynamic and complex environment Experience mentoring or supporting more junior P&C staff, contributing to a collaborative and high‑performing team culture Ability to interpret and apply people data and insights to inform decision‑making and continuous improvement A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and contexts Further details can be found in a copy of the Position Description under the job posting on Benefits and Culture At UNSW, the work you do has a ripple effect far beyond your immediate role.
