We are seeking a Yard Assistant to support the day‑to‑day operations of our busy yard and fleet. About the Role As the Yard Assistant, you will play an important role in keeping our yard organized, safe, and running smoothly. This position suits someone with a hands‑on attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Assist with general yard duties, housekeeping, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment Inspect, wash, and prepare trucks, plant, and equipment as required Support the workshop team with basic tasks and parts collection Move vehicles and machinery around the yard (if suitably licensed) Receive and organise deliveries, materials, and equipment Ensure tools, attachments, and consumables are stored correctly and accessible Carry out basic maintenance tasks under supervision Provide general support to operations, workshop, and fleet teams Requirements Previous experience in a yard preferably within transport and civil environment A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to learn Ability to follow instructions and work safely at all times Current driver’s licence and Forklift ticket Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks If you’re dependable, hardworking, and ready to be part of a strong team, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
