Manager, Software Engineering – Lead High-Impact Teams & Projects Manager, Software Engineering – Lead High-Impact Teams & Projects We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Manager, Software Engineering to lead high-performing software development teams—including offshore contractors—in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for software delivery, maintenance, team development, and strategic project execution. About the team and role: You’ll be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team of engineers, product managers, and delivery experts who are passionate about building scalable, innovative solutions that power our global platforms. Reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, this is a permanent full-time role to be based in Sydney with the possibility of combined home/office-based arrangements to have flexible work-life balance. Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and mentor engineering teams and offshore partners Oversee software development, maintenance and Tier 3 production support, when needed Analyzing customer and system issues and ensuring achievement of service level agreements Partner with Product and Project teams to align tech strategy with business goals Drive continuous improvement and innovation in coding standards and deployment practices Provide clear progress reporting to senior management Contribute to strategic decisions, resource planning, and budgeting Requirements: 10+ years in software development, including 2+ years in a leadership role Strong technical background in Java, SQL, .Net, C++, Cloud technologies or similar Expertise in Agile, SDLC, and modern development practices Proven experience managing offshore teams and working across time zones Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
