Overview We are seeking an experienced and visionary Nursing Director for the Professional Practice Support Unit (NDPPSU) at North West Hospital and Health Service. The role provides strategic, operational and professional leadership across nursing education, research and professional practice, guiding workforce development, driving innovation and supporting excellence in clinical governance and patient‑centred care throughout the North West region. Key Responsibilities Lead impactful education, training and workforce development initiatives for nurses and midwives. Provide expert clinical and operational leadership that shapes safe, high‑quality care. Drive research, innovation and evidence‑based practice across the health service. Benefits & Working Conditions Isolation bonus schedule: AUD$3,500 for the first year, AUD$10,500 for the second year, and AUD$7,000 for each subsequent year. 12.75% employer superannuation contribution. Long Service Leave and Sick Leave accrual. Tax savings through salary sacrificing options. Annual return airfares (including spouse/dependents) to the nearest east‑coast provincial city; 5 weeks annual leave with a 17.5% loading/bonus. Additional 2 weeks annual leave, travel as required, and enrolment/conference cost coverage for approved courses. Staff accommodation (if eligible) or private rental subsidy of AUD$82.50 per week for up to 17 months. Requirements Relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences. C Class Motor Vehicle Licence. Pre‑employment screening, including criminal history checks. Proof of vaccination or immunity to Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Tuberculosis (required for VPD risk role). Probationary period may apply.
