Temporary Full-Time up to 4 years Located in Eveleigh with flexible working arrangements available Salary: Clerk Grade 9/10 with salary ranging from $129,464 to $142,665 + super and annual leave loading Help shape the future of our Cleaning Services Division Join our newly established Cleaning Services Division and be part of a dynamic team driving high-quality, safe, and compliant service delivery across the department. The NSW Government’s reforms to public sector cleaning services entail the NSW Department of Education taking over management of the state’s Whole-of-Government cleaning contracts from January 1, 2026. A team has been established to deliver an enhanced Whole-of-Government cleaning contract for alignment and delivery of all program streams. Including Governance, ITD, Recruitment and Risk Management. About the role As the Senior Compliance Officer, you will play an integral role in building and embedding strong compliance and assurance practices within the new Cleaning Services Division. You will monitor contractor performance against contractual, KPI, and legislative requirements, conduct audits and inspections, and analyse performance data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement. You’ll also provide accurate reporting and advice to support risk management and continuous improvement, working closely with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure high standards of governance, safety, and service delivery. You will bring: Experience in compliance, auditing, or contract performance monitoring Strong understanding of risk management, governance frameworks, and supplier performance Ability to analyse data and translate insights into clear recommendations Excellent communication skills, including preparing evidence-based reports and adviceStrong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence outcomes A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you Key Knowledge and Experience Demonstrated knowledge of contract compliance, and assurance frameworks. Experience in audit, performance monitoring, and risk management Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent workplace experience in contract management, compliance, audit, or a related field. Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance for paid employment.
