We have an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated self-starter to join our Team in this full-time role. As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality control and assurance across our operations. Leading the Laboratory and Quality function, you will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain our commitment to the highest product quality and safety.Key responsibilities of the role include: Maintain quality assurance systems aligned with industry standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FCCS), including developing and implementing any new regulatory requirements. Monitor and evaluate product quality throughout the production process. Lead internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements. Investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions. Provide training and support to staff on quality and food safety procedures. Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams to drive quality improvements. Certificates of Analysis: including collection of test results, completion of certification and dissemination to customers. Managing Customer complaints including fielding complaints, registering and investigating and closing out. Leadership and development of four Laboratory team members. Maintaining accurate record-keeping and report writing for traceability and compliance, including all external testing results. Monitor and lead HACCP system changes, new products/equipment/ingredient plans. Coordinate GMP audits program for factory and external services. Managing Approved Suppliers, maintaining currency of all documentation. Overseeing shelf-life testing and validations programs. Leading environmental swabbing program. Managing Product Nutritional Information. Supporting product development, awards and improvement programs. What we are looking for: Degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in a quality management role within the dairy or food manufacturing industry. Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Experience with laboratory testing and data analysis. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. High digital dexterity with skills in the full Microsoft suite and experience with ERP/QMS systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented, with exceptional time management skills. Demonstrated people leadership and team development experience. Riverina Fresh is offering a competitive salary package commensurate to qualifications and experience for the successful applicant, including relocation assistance. Hours of work are generally standard office hours, Monday to Friday, however as the operations shift based, occasional flexibility may be required to work outside standard hours.
