We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at our renowned Greek restaurant in Coolangatta, Queensland. What you’ll be doing Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, food preparation, and inventory management Lead and mentor a skilled team of chefs and kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences Ensure consistent high‑quality food preparation and presentation in accordance with established recipes and standards Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting professional development and a commitment to excellence Collaborate with the Group Kitchen operations team to develop innovative menu items and optimise operational efficiency Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and food hygiene regulations What we’re looking for Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a high‑volume, fast‑paced restaurant environment Formal culinary training and a proven track record of creating exceptional Greek and Mediterranean‑inspired cuisine Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a kitchen team Strong time management and organisational abilities, with a keen eye for detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with front‑of‑house staff Thorough understanding of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety regulations What we offer At Kalytihi Pty Ltd, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
