South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) is committed to improving the care provided to our patients in line with our vision of “working together to improve the health and wellbeing of our community”.
Responsible for efficiently and effectively carrying out all administrative duties associated with the Emergency Department, including reception duties, patient management, medical record management, billing/cashiering, Switchboard duties and accurate data entry for all patient transactions using the Hospital’s PAS and Scheduling systems.
Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
All Category A workers and new recruits are required to receive one dose of the seasonal influenza vaccine annually to be considered compliant.
Category A workers and new recruits who are non-compliant with seasonal influenza vaccination or have a medical contraindication to influenza vaccinations must comply with all other infection control risk reduction strategies as directed while working in a Category A position.

- Demonstrated experience in the performance of a wide range of administrative tasks as well as reception duties in a busy work environment

- Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
- Demonstrated experience using client-related database/s, MS Word and Excel on a regular basis and proven typing skills
- Ability to work independently and as an effective team member in a high pressure work environment
- Ability and commitment to work a 24 hour/7-day rotating roster and be flexible/adaptable to workplace change
