Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and passionate Exercise Physiologist to join our team in a casual/subcontractor or part-time capacity . This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied client population, including those managing cardiovascular and metabolic conditions, while delivering high-quality, client-centered care. Workplace Location: One Playground, Newtown, Sydney Employment Type: Casual/Subcontractor or Part-Time Candidates must be available for a minimum weekly commitment of 15-25 hours per week. Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive client assessments including medical history, movement analysis, and functional capacity evaluations Design and deliver individualized exercise programs for clients with cardiovascular and metabolic diseases Manage Medicare/CDM (Chronic Disease Management) clients and associated documentation Program and schedule client sessions efficiently to optimize service delivery Monitor client progress and adjust programming based on clinical outcomes Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with professional standards Collaborate with GPs, physiotherapists, and other allied health professionals Provide ongoing support and education to clients regarding exercise, lifestyle, and health management Essential Criteria Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology Registration: Current ESSA (Exercise & Sports Science Australia) accreditation as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) Experience: Minimum 2 years working with diverse client populations, particularly those with: Cardiovascular diseases (heart disease, stroke, hypertension) Metabolic conditions (diabetes, obesity, metabolic syndrome) Chronic disease management Medicare Provider Number or ability to obtain one Current Professional Indemnity Insurance Strong organisational and scheduling skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team Australian citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for this position Desirable Criteria Experience with musculoskeletal injuries and post-operative rehabilitation Knowledge of nutrition principles and habit coaching Familiarity with client management software (e.g., Trainerize, Cliniko) Experience working with older adults and post-injury populations CPR and First Aid certification What We Offer Flexible working arrangements (casual/subcontractor or part-time options) Access to a well-equipped gym facility at One Playground, Newtown Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunity to work with a diverse and engaged client base Professional development opportunities Competitive remuneration based on experience and employment type How to Apply To apply, please submit: Current CV/resume Cover letter outlining your relevant experience with cardiovascular and metabolic disease populations Copies of relevant qualifications and ESSA accreditation We look forward to hearing from passionate Exercise Physiologists who are committed to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
