Qualified Greenkeeper Positions (2 Positions Available) Green Acres Golf Club – Kew East, VIC Green Acres Golf Club is expanding its Turf Maintenance Team and is seeking two motivated and experienced Qualified Greenkeepers to join our highly regarded course crew. Located just 10 minutes from Melbourne’s CBD, our club prides itself on a strong team culture, professional standards, and a commitment to producing exceptional playing surfaces year-round. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about turf management, take pride in their work, and enjoy contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities Operation of golf course machinery including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and specialized turf equipment. Operation of handheld tools such as brushcutters, edgers, blowers, and chainsaws. Assist with irrigation maintenance, repairs, and daily system monitoring. Carry out all general course maintenance tasks to support the delivery of high-quality playing surfaces. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Provide guidance, support, and leadership to apprentices and less experienced staff. Report directly to the Course Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent while working collaboratively with the course management team. Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience working in turf or golf course maintenance. Strong understanding of turf health, mowing techniques, machinery operation, and course presentation standards. Ability to proactively identify and communicate turf issues, irrigation concerns, or maintenance needs. Strong work ethic: reliable, honest, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills. A proactive approach to workplace health and safety (WH&S). Desirable Formal qualifications in Sports Turf Management or equivalent. Understanding of golf course playability and the game of golf. Experience mentoring or leading junior staff. What We Offer $33–$38 per hour, negotiable based on experience (above award).
