Lead Network Engineer – Core Routing & Architecture Start Date: ASAP Duration: 6-Month Contract (High Probability of Extension) Work Model: Hybrid Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer with deep expertise in core routing and architecture to lead large-scale enterprise and service-provider network programs. This is a routing-first leadership role, not a firewall or security operations position. You will design, own, and operate complex backbone and WAN environments, ensuring high availability and performance across multi-site networks. Is innovation part of your DNA? Together we enable the connected future. Key Responsibilities Act as lead architect and primary escalation point for backbone and WAN networks. Own routing policy, traffic engineering, redundancy, and failure domain design. Lead multi-site network architecture programs and large-scale migrations. Produce and defend HLDs, LLDs, design standards, and roadmaps. Troubleshoot backbone outages, route leaks, and convergence failures. Drive network automation initiatives using Python, Ansible, and APIs. Mentor engineers and lead technical delivery across programs. Skills & Experience Strong hands-on expertise in BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, QoS, and SD-WAN. Proven experience in multi-site WAN and backbone design. Exposure to carrier-grade or large enterprise routing environments. Hardware experience with Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, or equivalent core-class platforms. Ability to lead high-stakes design decisions and major incident resolution. Familiarity with network automation tools and hybrid cloud connectivity. Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE Enterprise or Data Center strongly preferred. Questions?
