ASSISTANT/FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

On-site Posted 2 days ago Eco-Farms, an industry leader in organic fresh produce, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Financial Accountant to join our highly qualified and professional Finance team. This is a temporary part-time/full time role to cover for an employee going off for a 1 year maternity leave The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full set of accounts , overseeing accounts payable , and supporting accurate financial reporting to ensure smooth business operations Key Responsibilities Assisting in preparation full set of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing Completion of the monthly accruals, journals, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate posting of transactions Ownership of accounts payable (invoice processing, supplier reconciliation, payments and query resolution) Support audit preparation and liaise with auditors Training and mentoring junior staff Skills & Requirements Diploma/Degree in Accounting Minimum 3 years of accounting experience; prior experience handling full set of accounts preferred Strong understanding of accounts payable processes High attention to detail, accuracy, and time-management Good communication and interpersonal skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and meet deadlines We are genuinely excited to invite candidates to apply for this temporary 1-year role with an opportunity to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.
