Disability Support Worker

About the Role We’re seeking energetic and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our casual team, providing 1:1 or 1:3 support within a group‑based day program at our Hub in Mackay or out in the community. There may also be opportunities to pick up additional shifts supporting customers in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home that operates 24/7. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being out and about, engaging in fun, community‑based activities, and creating meaningful connections. You’ll be supporting customers to access a range of daytime activities such as bingo, arts and crafts, dancing, harbour walks, and more. Shifts are available Monday to Friday (between 8AM to 4PM), with 24/7 support coverage across our SIL homes. What You’ll Be Doing Provide personal and social support in both 1:1 and 1:3 settings Facilitate and participate in engaging community and hub activities Support customers in developing life skills and increasing independence Foster a positive, inclusive, and empowering environment Maintain accurate documentation and daily progress notes What We’re Looking For Experience supporting people with disabilities Energetic, outgoing personality – you love being active and getting involved Comfortable with personal care and domestic support duties if required Strong communication skills and a commitment to person‑centred care Availability across weekdays Essential Requirements Current Driver’s Licence (P2 or open) Senior First Aid & CPR Certificate NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (Yellow Card) QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check) Why Join Us?
