Fitter / Fabricator Location: Caringbah, Sydney, NSW Shift: Day Shift / Monday – Friday Salary: $45 – $50 per hour A nationally recognised manufacturer is seeking an experienced Fitter / Fabricator to join its Team. This role plays a key part in ongoing plant upgrades, process improvements, and new equipment installations across extrusion and downstream production lines. About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for a range of mechanical and fabrication tasks, including platform construction, bracket fabrication, and light welding as well as maintenance and fitting. Working within a manufacturing environment, you will collaborate closely with team members, contractors, and key personnel across maintenance, production, tooling, and projects to deliver safe, efficient, and well‑coordinated outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform fabrication and welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) as required. Rebuild and service pumps, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic systems. Preventative and reactive maintenance Manage work orders, parts, and project updates using company systems and procedures. About You Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting, Fabrication, Welding, Boilermaking, or similar. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Skilled in the use of fabrication equipment and machinery. Able to work effectively with a combination of internal teams and external contractors. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving abilities.
