School Crossing Supervisor - Colyton Public School Transport for NSW is looking for a School Crossing Supervisor for Colyton Public School . Join a team that delivers impactful safety outcomes and ensures that everyone goes home safely every day. Role Overview As a School Crossing Supervisor you will become a well‑known, respected Road Safety Hero around the local community, driving the safety of students, parents, teachers and motorists. You will supervise school crossings during the school zone hours of 8:00‑9:30 AM and 2:30‑3:30 PM, Monday to Friday. A total of 25 contact hours are required per fortnight (1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon per day). Schedule & Compensation Shift times: 8:00‑9:30 AM and 2:30‑3:30 PM, Monday‑Friday 25 hours of supervision per fortnight Hourly rate: $26.43 + superannuation Paid during school holidays (Terms 1‑3) Permanent part‑time position Responsibilities Supervise children while they cross the road to and from school. Maintain vigilance for potential hazards and ensure safe passage. Communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers and motorists. Support the school’s road safety program and liaise with school staff. Follow all relevant safety procedures and report incidents. Qualifications & Requirements Must be at least 18 years old. Reliable and able to work in all weather conditions. Effective communication and alertness to danger. Willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, reference checks, police check and health assessment. Existing checks will speed the process. Training, uniforms and equipment provided by Transport for NSW.
