In this Role, you’ll Become a Road Safety Hero that is held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers, and local motorists. You’ll also grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families. Tempe Public School shifts fall between the school zone hours of 8:30 – 9:30 AM and 2:30 – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon. School crossings require 20 hours of supervising per fortnight. You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation, and you will also be compensated during school holidays from Terms 1 to 3. About you Community‑mindful and reliable, willing to show up in good or bad weather. Effective communicator with alertness to potential dangers. Enjoys building community relationships and keeping kids safe. Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment. All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided. As you’ll be working with children on our roads, your willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital.
