Direct message the job poster from PERSOL APAC Talent Acquisition | Recruitment| HR Business Partnering We are seeking a commercially astute and operationally hands-on General Manager - Victoria and Tasmania to lead a complex and large-scale portfolio of service delivery contracts across Victoria and Tasmania. This high-impact role is central to ensuring operational excellence, contractual compliance, and driving performance across approximately 15 key sites. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for the delivery of critical services including maintenance, labour hire, and new customer implementations-supporting a workforce of over 200 employees. Your leadership will directly influence financial outcomes, client satisfaction, and the long-term success of the region. Key Responsibilities Lead the delivery of contracted services across VIC and TAS, ensuring all operational, financial, and compliance targets are met or exceeded. Oversee a team of six to eight direct reports and a workforce of 200+ across multiple sites, fostering a strong culture of safety, performance, and accountability. Manage full P&L ownership for the region, including budgeting, forecasting, and meeting revenue and margin targets. Build strong relationships with clients to ensure service excellence, contract compliance, and quick resolution of any escalations. Take ownership of enterprise agreement negotiations and maintain constructive engagement with employee representatives and unions. Deliver against key KPIs including sales growth, workforce stability, service quality, and rate build accuracy. Collaborate with the executive team to align site operations with strategic business goals. Ensure full compliance with safety, legal, and quality standards while embedding continuous improvement practices. Leverage systems and tools to optimise planning, reporting, and service delivery. Identify new market opportunities and lead business development efforts to support regional growth. What Success Looks Like Meeting or exceeding financial targets across revenue, gross margin, and regional P&L. High-quality service delivery aligned with client and contract expectations. Successful execution of enterprise agreement negotiations. Increase in regional market share and new customer wins. Consistently high employee engagement, retention, and performance across all sites. Strong client relationships and stakeholder satisfaction at every level. About You You are a confident, results-driven leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments. Known for your ability to lead large, diverse teams, you bring a pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset to every challenge. You bring: Extensive experience in senior operational or contract management roles within industrial services, engineering, infrastructure, utilities, or similar sectors. Proven leadership of large-scale workforces across multi-site environments. Strong commercial and financial acumen including full P&L responsibility. Deep understanding of contractual obligations, service delivery KPIs, and operational risk management. Industrial relations experience, including union negotiations and navigating workforce change under EBA/award conditions. A successful track record of driving revenue, margin, and service expansion. Engineering or trade background (desirable not essential). Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Finance (desirable).
