Experienced Cook in Middle Eastern Cuisine Job Type: Contract position | Full time position Job Description Experienced Cook in Middle Eastern Cuisine – Byron Bay | $80K + Super We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook with strong kitchen leadership and a proven background in Middle Eastern cuisine to join our growing venue in beautiful Byron Bay. About the Role: This is a full-time, permanent position offering $80,000 per annum plus super. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, small team environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork are key. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food preparation and hygiene, and manage day-to-day kitchen responsibilities. We’re Looking For: Minimum 2 years’ experience cooking authentic Middle Eastern cuisine (essential). Responsibilities: Prepare and cook all menu items according to established recipes, standards, and plating guides. Strictly follow food safety and hygiene protocols for the workstation and equipment. Accurately measure and portion ingredients to specification, and minimize food waste at the station. Assist with inventory by accurately tracking and reporting stock levels and ingredient needs to the supervisor. Review and understand incoming food orders and cooking instructions, paying close attention to any listed allergies or dietary restrictions. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organised kitchen workstation at all times. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team and follow the direction of the chef. Interact with customers, take orders, and address dietary needs or preferences. Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience cooking authentic Middle Eastern cuisine (essential). In-depth knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients specific to the Middle Eastern menu. Reliable, punctual, and committed to long-term employment. Must have full Australian working rights.
