Female Disability Support Worker – URGENT HIRING Occasional longer daytime shifts starting at 6:30 AM Join Connecting Families – Empower Lives with Every Shift We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Female Disability Support Worker to provide meaningful, one‑on‑one care to a client in Matraville. This is a rewarding opportunity to support a participant in building routine, structure, and independence. About the Client & Role Overview Support a participant with: Non-compliant behaviours (resisting support) Running away from home Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) This role requires a calm, patient, and safety‑focused worker comfortable managing high‑intensity behaviours. Fully ambulant but requires supervision and motivation Support safe movement and home environment Assist with referrals/scheduling for an exercise physiologist Assist with grocery shopping and meal prep Promote adherence to nutrition plans Support with mild intellectual disability Encourage structure‑building activities and routines Assist with irregular sleep patterns Promote calming, screen‑free evening routines Support maintenance of a consistent bedtime schedule Encourage social interaction and rapport‑building Prompt and motivate for daily self‑care Fully continent Monitor bowel health, hydration, and medication support Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience in Disability Support or Aged Care Strong communication and emotional awareness Comfortable with high‑intensity supports and overnight shifts Able to build routines and encourage independence Cert III or IV in Disability/Individual Support (Highly Preferred) National Police Check (or willing to obtain) Valid Driver’s Licence & Own Vehicle ⚡ Ready to Empower Lives?
