The Role

Are you passionate about building cloud infrastructure through code? Do you have a strong background in Azure and thrive in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment? If so, we want you to join our Digital Information Office (DIO) as a Senior DevOps Specialist.

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing code and software/system solutions that meet our customers' needs for rapid service delivery, reliability, and innovation. You will work with various stakeholders, including internal teams, customers, and vendors, to deliver solutions aligned with our strategic objectives.

What you will bring to the role

  • Azure Experience: Proven ability to deploy and manage large-scale Azure infrastructure as code preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency : Strong background in cloud hosting, security, and software engineering.
  • Innovative Thinking: Expertise in adopting agile DevOps practices and new technologies to automate and optimise platform delivery.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
  • Autonomous Work Ethic: Capability to work independently, represent the department, and drive forward-thinking solutions.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience in managing complex systems integrations and maintaining service integrity while implementing new initiatives.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities : Advanced skills in analysing complex issues and developing practical, innovative solutions.
  • Commitment to Continuous Learning : Dedication to staying updated with the latest technological advancements and best practices.
  • Customer Focus : Strong orientation towards understanding and meeting customer needs and requirements.
  • Proficient in Documentation : Ability to submit reports, business cases, and other forms of written advice with minimal input from the manager.

Essential requirements

  • Tertiary qualification/recognised industry certification and/or equivalent industry experience
