An experienced Senior Contract Commercial Officer is required by Piacentini & Son based at our Head Office in Bunbury, Western Australia with regular remote site travel required.Piacentini & Son is an established earthmoving and mining contractor with multiple sites across Australia.An exciting position has become available for a Senior Contract Commercial Officer who will be given the responsibility to support the project management team throughout the delivery phase of projects in order to protect the companies’ commercial position.Responsibilities will include:Manage all commercial and financial requirements for the projectProvide advice to the Project Team concerning contractual issues and assist in preparing formal contractual correspondencePreparing and managing progress claims and EOTsPrepare Delay Notices (NoDs)Assessment of subcontractor variationsManagement of all related contractual correspondenceManage and track project expenditureCapability in preparation of contractual correspondenceSkills and Experience required:Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management/Quantity Surveying or LawCommercial Background is desirableApproximately 3-8 years’ of commercial construction experience in contract managementSolid experience on mining projects for construction contractors in Australia such as; earthworks, drainage, underground services/utilities, telecoms, industrial developments is preferredDemonstrated experience as a Contracts Administrator managing claims, variations, EOTs and Notices of delaysStrong all-round communication skills and attention to detailConditions of Employment:Monday – Friday, full-time, permanent employment opportunitySite visits required monthlyApplicant must live local to the Bunbury areaTo Apply:Please click the APPLY button nowWe are an Equal Opportunity employer and we encourage applications from women and Indigenous people.You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for this job.
