Security Operations Manager – Eastern Suburbs Sydney Up to $150,000 + Super | Full-time | Office-based with regular site attendance A well‑established and rapidly expanding security services organisation is seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to oversee a multi‑site portfolio across Sydney. This position is ideal for a senior operator who thrives on leadership, technical problem‑solving, and driving service excellence across a diverse client base. About the Role This is a high‑impact operational leadership role managing the performance and service delivery of a wide network of sites, including residential complexes, strata properties, commercial facilities, government contracts, retail environments and event spaces. You will take ownership of all operational outcomes, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality security services through effective team leadership, system oversight and proactive client engagement. The role requires a strong technical background in electronic security systems and proven experience managing patrol, mobile response or field‑based security teams. You will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to maintain high standards, introduce improvements and support the organisation’s ongoing growth. What You Will Be Responsible For Operational Management Oversee day‑to‑day security operations across multiple sites throughout Sydney. Act as the lead contact for all operational matters within your portfolio. Ensure compliance with NSW security legislation, operational procedures and safety frameworks. Maintain oversight of electronic and physical security infrastructure across assigned sites. Leadership & People Management Lead, support and develop security officers, patrol teams and response personnel. Coordinate rostering, onboarding and capability development. Promote a strong service culture, ensuring teams are engaged, trained and meeting performance expectations. Technical & Systems Control Manage CCTV, access control, alarm networks, intercoms and integrated system platforms. Troubleshoot faults, coordinate upgrades and ensure system reliability. Respond to incidents and ensure appropriate escalation and reporting. Service Improvement & Business Contribution Identify inefficiencies and implement solutions that enhance service delivery. Build strong relationships with clients, resolving operational issues promptly. Support the growth of the portfolio by identifying and converting new opportunities each month. Contribute to operational planning and the introduction of new technologies or processes. About You You will be successful in this role if you can demonstrate: 7+ years’ experience in a security operations, multi‑site management or similar leadership role. Strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems and compliance requirements. Experience managing mobile patrols, response teams or field‑based personnel. Exposure to strata or building management environments (advantageous but not essential). A hands‑on, proactive leadership style with strong problem‑solving capability. Excellent communication and client management skills. Current NSW Security Licence (1A / 2A subclasses) and a valid driver’s licence.
