As a Digital Mentor, you’ll receive training through the nationally recognised Be Connected Mentors Program, equipping you with the skills to support older adults in one‑on‑one or small group settings. Key Responsibilities Participate in the Mentors Program training (approx. 5 hours total) Provide friendly, respectful and patient digital support to older adults Assist with common digital tasks such as using email, accessing apps, online safety, video calling, and social media Help build the confidence and independence of older people in a safe and supported environment Maintain confidentiality and follow all safeguarding procedures Attend scheduled mentoring sessions in your local community or aged care facility What You’ll Gain Free digital mentor training and resources Valuable community service and volunteering experience Enhanced communication, leadership, and teaching skills A meaningful connection across generations Certificate of participation and reference upon completion Paid Working with Vulnerable People Card Ideal Volunteer Attributes Aged 16 years or older Confident using digital devices and navigating basic technology Friendly, empathetic, and respectful of older people Reliable, punctual, and willing to commit to the duration of the program Open to learning and working as part of a team Job Details Category: Community Services Commitment: Regular - less than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support, IT & Web Development, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required: Flexible, for one hour each week Training: Five hours of training with Young Mentors Program How to Apply If you’re passionate about helping others and want to make a real difference in your community, we’d love to hear from you #J-18808-Ljbffr
