About the Role We're looking for an IT & Security Administrator to own and manage our security compliance programs and IT infrastructure. This is a hands‑on hybrid role spanning governance, compliance, and technical implementation. You'll be responsible for maintaining our DISP membership, driving ISO 27001 certification, and managing our Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring our security posture meets the demands of defence and commercial clients. Responsibilities Security & Compliance Manage DISP (Defence Industry Security Program) cyber security compliance requirements, including PSPF and ISM control implementation and evidence collection Lead ISO 27001 implementation and certification efforts, including policy development, risk assessments, and internal audits Implement and maintain Essential Eight controls with evidence collection for compliance reporting Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with ISM controls Coordinate with Defence and government stakeholders on cyber security compliance matters IT Infrastructure & Administration Administer Microsoft 365 tenant including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams Manage Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) for identity and access management, including conditional access policies and MFA Configure and maintain Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, device compliance, and application deployment Manage Microsoft Defender suite for endpoint protection, threat detection, and security monitoring Provide IT support to the team and manage user onboarding/offboarding processes Maintain documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures Qualifications 3+ years experience in IT administration, security, or a related role Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune Experience with security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, Essential Eight, or similar) Understanding of DISP cyber compliance requirements or willingness to learn quickly Australian resident and capable of obtaining a security clearance Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities Desired Skills Existing security clearance Experience with DISP cyber compliance or ISM/PSPF frameworks ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification Microsoft certifications (MS-102, SC-300, or similar) Experience with network infrastructure (firewalls, VPNs, UniFi) Familiarity with Linux systems and containerisation (Docker) Pay range and compensation package Competitive salary commensurate with experience Work on cutting‑edge maritime autonomy technology with real‑world impact Collaborative team environment with experienced engineers and technologists Opportunity to shape security practices in a growing company Flexible working arrangements Professional development and certification support We are committed to diversity and inclusivity.
