This role is pivotal in supporting clinical and cultural education pathways, enhancing scope of practice, and fostering strong partnerships with training organisations and health services. About us Coordinate statewide education initiatives, including skill development, scope of practice, and transition pathways. Promote student pipeline activities and support Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners to work to their full scope of practice. Collaborate with registered training organisations, clinicians, and educators to enable delivery of high‑quality education and training. Support clinical placement supervision programs and integrate cultural and clinical supervision frameworks. About you This is a position identified for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people on the basis of a genuine occupational qualification under section 14(d) of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1977. You are a highly skilled individual with a passion for development of Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners. You have relevant qualifications and/or experience in areas such as education, policy, health management, or service management, AND you meet at least one of the following: Current registration or eligibility for current registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner with Ahpra; or Current registration or eligibility for professional association membership in another clinical profession, with previous experience working as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner. Location Flexibility This role offers flexibility to be based in rural NSW, where many Aboriginal Health Practitioners are currently located. NSW Health will work with Local Health Districts/Specialty Networks to support applicants to remain on Country and work from their local area. People living in rural areas are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will be expected to travel occasionally to Sydney to collaborate with colleagues and also to other areas across NSW as required to support education initiatives.
