About the Role Preshil is seeking a dedicated and creative Primary School French Teacher for an ongoing, part‑time position (0.2 FTE / one day per week). This role involves teaching French from Prep to Grade 6 at our Arlington Campus in Kew. You’ll design and deliver engaging, age‑appropriate language learning experiences that introduce students to French language and culture through play, story, music and hands‑on activities. This role is ideal for someone who understands how to inspire curiosity and confidence in young learners, using a student‑centred, inquiry‑based approach. About You You are a warm, flexible educator who values individuality, creativity and the unique potential of every child. You know how to make language learning meaningful and joyful, and you thrive in a collaborative school community built on trust and respect. You Bring Completion of an accredited Initial Teacher Education (ITE) program, such as: A four‑year undergraduate teaching degree with a language method; A two‑year postgraduate teaching qualification, following a relevant undergraduate degree in Languages, Education or a related field. Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Experience teaching French in primary settings, with an understanding of early language acquisition and developmental learning The ability to create inclusive, student‑driven lessons that centre play, imagination and cultural exploration A commitment to progressive educational practice and ongoing professional learning.
