Who we are: The Kingdom of the Netherlands is represented in Australia by the Embassy in Canberra and the Consulate General in Sydney, covering consular services and economic relations across the Commonwealth. Responsibilities: Serve as Senior General Affairs Officer, primarily supporting the Consulate General in Sydney. Replace the Management Assistant during absences. Provide broad support in management support, IT, organisational matters, finance, administration and facility management. Coordinate tasks with the part‑time Management Assistant, keeping an overview, prioritising, assessing progress, identifying interconnections, evaluating consequences and signalling follow‑up activities. Coordinate key elements of work with the Operational Manager based in Canberra. Qualifications: Completed secondary vocational education or equivalent work and thinking skills, preferably supplemented with at least five years of relevant experience. Service‑oriented, presentable and flexible. Accurate, organisationally sensitive with good planning, organisational and communication skills. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Offer: Varied 32‑hour per week position in an international working environment, combining organisational and facility management tasks.
