EL1 Manager, Corporate Governance and Risk Independent statutory authority is seeking an experienced and proactive EL1 Manager, Corporate Governance and Risk to join our dedicated Corporate Affairs Office (CAO). If you possess a strong understanding of Commonwealth governance obligations and excel at translating complex compliance requirements into practical policy, this is your opportunity to play a vital role in an Agency whose mission is to promote improved efficiency in, and access to, safe and high-quality public hospital and aged care services for all Australians. As the Manager, Corporate Governance and Risk, you will be a key support to the Executive Officer within the Corporate Service Section. Your primary focus will be on maintaining robust governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure the Authority effectively identifies and manages risk and meets its crucial legislative and compliance obligations. Key Responsibilities Draft, review, and maintain up-to-date corporate governance frameworks, policies, and procedures Identify, monitor, and report on governance risks, issues, and benefits to inform executive decision-making Manage a range of legislative and compliance obligations, including those related to risk, privacy, protective security, and records management Provide timely and practical advice on governance matters that supports the Authority's strategic vision Assist with ministerial and parliamentary liaison requirements for the Authority, including the preparation of responses to Questions on Notice Ensure all outcomes are delivered on time and to an appropriate quality standard Key Capabilities A strong understanding and ability to contribute meaningfully to developing processes and policies that meet the corporate governance obligations for a Commonwealth agency subject to the National Reform Act 2011 and the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act) Excellent research skills and the ability to deliver accurate, well-synthesised information to effectively inform decisions Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor complex and/or sensitive information to suit a range of audiences Proven ability to manage diverse compliance obligations across various domains (e.g., risk, security, records) Knowledge of the PGPA Act and Commonwealth Procurement Rules will be highly regarded Desirable Experience Experience in governance within a Commonwealth or state government environment is highly advantageous Qualifications in Law, Risk, or Compliance, or other relevant fields, would be an asset but are not essential At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
