Metal Fabricator/Welder

Join our Truganina Workshop, where no day is the same and you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of different duties in Metal Fabrication. Working with our Trailer and Refrigeration Mechanics, you'll be responsible for any trailer repairs that require fabrication. Day to day you will be: Undertaking fabrication, welding, fittings and replacing parts Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding Using your attention to detail to ensure your work is of good quality What we can offer you: A long-term career opportunity and PPE equipment supplied A friendly supportive team environment A competitive remuneration with yearly reviews Our requirements for the role are: Minimum 3 years of Fabrication and welding experience; (2nd class welding experience or equivalent) And/Or a Trade Certificate in Metal Fabrication/Welding Attention to detail and able to provide high quality workmanship Strong problem-solving abilities Being in business for over 35 years, we have continued to expand and grow each year.
