Job Description - Associate investigator (0000B588) Full-time permanent position on offer with other temporary opportunities possibly available in the coming months Play a critical investigations role for NSW Electoral Commission About the Role The Associate Investigator supports the investigations team in conducting investigations into breaches of legislation relating to elections, funding and disclosure, and lobbyists. The role is an Ongoing position. Other potential temporary vacancies may come up within the next 18 months to support the upcoming elections. Running and regulating elections Communicating and engaging with current and future voters, key NSW community stakeholders and NSW election participants; Investigating possible offences and enforcing electoral and lobbying laws such as the Electoral Act 2017 and the Electoral Funding Act 2018. Experience in an investigation role. Working knowledge of rules of evidence and criminal practice and procedure. Detail how you organise, plan and prioritise your case load when you have multiple competing investigative activities outside your control, which are often time critical (maximum 300 words). You should include a covering letter summarising your skills, knowledge and work experience, along with an up-to-date resume which clearly detail your skills and experience as relevant to this role.
