Looking for a new start in the new year Join DCR's Rostering team and make a difference Key Responsibilities Roster Creation and Management Develop and maintain accurate, efficient rosters for Support Workers providing services to clients in the Disability or Child Safety sector. Ensure schedules meet client needs, considering preferences, specific requirements, and continuity of care. Respond to urgent staffing requirements or changes, such as staff illness, and adjust rosters accordingly. Address and resolve any staffing conflicts or issues that may arise, such as staff cancellations, last‑minute changes, or operational requirements. Communication Collaborate with the Care Operations and Workforce Management team to ensure all shifts are covered by qualified and appropriately trained staff. Communicate effectively with Support Workers about their assigned shifts, changes to rosters, and other scheduling‑related matters. Practice key communication to Support Workers via calling, Message Media, SMS and email if required. Compliance and Regulations Ensure adherence to relevant legal and industry standards (e.g., NDIS, Child Safety regulations). Monitor staff working hours to comply with relevant awards, agreements, and regulations, such as overtime limits and rest periods. Maintain accurate records for auditing purposes, including rosters, staff attendance, trainings, and any changes made to schedules. Data Entry and Reporting Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of rosters, staff attendance, and absences in Brevity. Produce reports on attendance, shift coverage and over‑time for management as required. Identify trends or patterns related to rostering and make recommendations for improvements. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in rostering, scheduling, or workforce management, ideally within the Disability, Aged Care, or Child Safety sectors. Knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme), Child Safety or similar regulations. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple schedules at once while maintaining accuracy. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and adjust to changes quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with staff, clients, and other stakeholders. Ability to remain calm under pressure, particularly in resolving staffing issues or emergencies. Proficiency in software inclusive of Microsoft, Brevity and Message Media. Ability to proactively identify and resolve problems related to scheduling or staffing in a timely manner.
