Visitors needed for lonely elderly in Shepparton. Join our visiting team. Flexible hours, just one visit a week or fortnight makes a difference Volunteering with Elder Rights Australia helps improve the health and wellbeing of older Victorians. It also gives you personal satisfaction, the chance to contribute your talents and experience, and the opportunity to gain new skills. What’s involved? Visit with an older person at least fortnightly (weekly preferred). Engage in varied activities such as playing a game, chatting, a gentle walk, reading, or listening to music. Communicate and collaborate with your program officer. Complete simple monthly surveys. About you Must be 18+ years old. Have a genuine interest in easing loneliness in older people. Show empathy and compassion. Be able to actively listen and engage with older people. Maintain clear boundaries and confidentiality.
