FOH Supervisor

We are hiring a FOH Supervisor to help guide and lead our fabulous staff. Juan Fifty offers modern Mexican food using traditional techniques at a beautiful beachside location in Alexandra Headland. We are known for our friendly and happy atmosphere where customers are met with a smile and warm welcome . With our “leave your worries at the door” policy, we aim to not just sell food and beverage, but create a memorable experience for our guests. We take great pride in our work , making as much as possible in‑house daily from local and Mexican‑imported products. Our leaders in both the kitchen and FOH are passionate about the products they create and enjoy a collaborative, supportive and highly respectful relationship . Day‑to‑day responsibilities: Ensure and contribute to smooth service in line with our core values. Manage reservations and function enquiries. Guide and develop junior staff. Handle and troubleshoot any issues or complaints. Greet guests and serve throughout the evening. Prepare and serve drinks including tap beer, wines, cocktails, mocktails, and non‑alcoholic options. Handle reservations, walk‑ins, telephone, online, takeaway, and delivery using both in‑person and technology. Share knowledge about Mexican cuisine and Tequila with customers and staff (training provided). Open, pack down, restock, order, report, roster, and reconcile cash. Monitor a clean and safe work environment. Assist in the ongoing development of systems and processes. Experience & Qualities: Proven history in a similar supervisory role. Respectful, honest, humble, fair and reliable. A positive can‑do attitude – the “leave your worries at the door” mindset. The ability to own mistakes and learn from them (“It’s not a failure… It’s a Lesson”). Passion for creating a memorable experience and caring for team, guests, venue and equipment. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining high quality of service. Enthusiasm for training and nurturing junior staff. Fastidious attention to detail with a practical approach to tasks. Available nights, weekends and some public holidays. Intention to commit long‑term. Immediate start.
