Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
An opportunity is now available for Registered Nurses to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Team, located at Nepean Hospital. These position available are Permanent Full time or Part time.
Working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit will allow you to meet the needs of staff, patients and their families whilst working in a diverse team demonstrating CORE values, whilst providing exceptional person-centered care.
Your role as the Registered Nurse will ensure optimal outcomes for patients/clients and carers of the service through the promotion of best practice including the appropriate escalation of care whilst practice under the supervision of a Registered Midwife if required to work in maternity wards/units. You will maintain and promote a professional standard evidenced by ethical nursing practice, adherence to the policies and procedures of the Nursing and Midwifery Service, NBMLHD and the appropriate legislation and statutory regulations whilst providing support and clinical preceptorship/mentoring to all staff and students

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration as Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in Neonatal Nursing and willingness to obtain Graduate Certificate in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide family centred care
- Demonstrated effective communication skills- written and verbal
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day, evening or night across all days of the week according to the unit/service requirements.
