ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Officer - City Operations to join our City Services Directorate. You will be responsible for providing a full range of timely confidential administrative and executive support and related services to the Executive Manager City Operations. This role will liaise with internal and external customers including residents businesses and the public whilst providing effective diary management by prioritising and organising meetings with stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to prepare correspondence and reports research information preparation of presentations and letter writing in an efficient manner utilising your excellent communication skills. Qualifications Relevant qualifications and / or demonstrated experience in an administrative support position Experience in providing support and assistance to senior level staff including the provision of confidential administrative support at all times Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills High-level computer skills in Microsoft Office Ability to work on multiple tasks identify priorities meet deadlines and manage projects efficiently and effectively Previous experience in meeting procedures and processes Ability to handle challenges and utilise problem solving skills Ability and willingness to work flexibly in a team environment Strong organisational and judgement skills with the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities Download the position description herefor more information. About this role : Permanent full-time position 70 hour fortnight Access to Councils 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement Located at Councils Auburn and Guildford Depots with occasional travel required across Council worksites and may be required to work across any of Councils work locations Salary information The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award. Grade 10 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $ to $ per week plus 12% superannuation The commencing salary will be negotiated taking into consideration the successful applicants qualifications skills and experience related to the role What you'll need to have for this role : The right to live and work in Australia Be able to provide information for pre-employment checks required for the position including attending a physical pre-employment medical examination as required Participate in health monitoring as outlined in the risk assessment for this position and Councils Health Monitoring Procedure as required.
