Overview Girl Guides WA are seeking women to join our team of Girl Guide Unit Helpers in Rossmoyne. The Unit meets on a Tuesday afternoon from 4:30pm to 6pm and caters for girls ages between 5 and 9. Girl Guide volunteers are role models that provide support to young girls to help them discover their potential as young leaders of their world. This is one of the most rewarding and fun volunteering jobs around What do we do? Girl Guides WA aims to empower girls and young women to become confident, self‑respecting and responsible community members. What do Unit Helpers do? Our Unit Helpers meet regularly with a group of girls aged 5 to 9 in the Rossmoyne Community Hall. Meetings run from 4:30pm to 6pm on Tuesday afternoons. During the meeting you will help the Unit Leaders develop the girls’ skills, positive values and confidence through fun activities. How do you become a Unit Helper? Becoming a Unit Helper involves becoming a member of Girl Guides WA and completing the onboarding requirements (Working With Children Check, Police Clearance, etc.). Why should you get involved? Our Leaders and Unit Helpers report increased confidence and skills, joy in helping girls grow, lifelong friendships, and loads of fun Women and girls have been part of this amazing organisation for over 100 years and are now seeking fresh people to help us move forward with modern goals of empowerment, confidence, advocacy and making a difference. Qualifications No previous Guiding experience necessary.
