Qualifications & experience Confident and clear communication skills; both verbal and written to work productively alongside other product teams and external suppliers. The ability to correctly assess garments to ensure they comply with Australian Fire safety standards and Children’s safety standards. Knowledge of women's intimates, including pattern making, fitting skills and garment construction. The ability to work closely within a team as well as the ability to act autonomously when the need arises. Be able to work to tight deadlines and cope with pressure. Ability to convey technical information clearly to overseas suppliers. Flexible approach to be able to adjust to the constantly changing needs of the business. Exceptional eye for technical detail to consistently ensure standards are being met. The correct documentation is used and followed. Highly organized with good prioritization skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator software. Tasks & responsibilities Working directly with Retailers Garment Technicians across several departments to ensure the fit and manufacture of our garments meet technical and safety requirements from Proto/ Fit, PPS and Shipping stages as well as a desk‑top review. Liaising with designers, account managers, product developers on new ranges and licensed product requirements. Liaise with our factories directly to ensure their full understanding of our quality requirements, our retail customers’ requirements and Australian Safety standards are met. Working with retailers’ garment specifications as well as creating new ones for specific designs. Assign care instructions, labels, and fire labeling requirement to a range of textiles, prints and embellishments to ensure garment is safe and fit for purpose. Receive and understand textile reports from 3rd Party providers, as well as conduct some in‑house tests. Liaise with inspection agency’s booking inspections and uploading style guides through to dealing with the final reports and our retail customers sign off approval. Check bulk in our Melbourne warehouse to ensure all our requirements have been met.
