We are now seeking an experienced National Events Director to lead our event strategy, elevate the quality of our programs, and drive the continued growth of Australia’s most influential property industry event portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-performing national events program, shape flagship conferences including Urbanity, and play a key leadership role in a fast-growing media and events organisation. About the Role Reporting to the CEO, the National Events Director leads the strategy, content, delivery and commercial performance of our national events calendar. You will guide a talented events team, curate industry-leading programs, and ensure every event delivers exceptional experiences for attendees, partners and speakers. In this role, you will: Strategic Leadership Shape the annual event strategy and national event calendar Align event activity with commercial, editorial and membership objectives Contribute to executive-level decision-making as part of the leadership team Program and Content Development Lead the development of compelling programs for conferences, summits and virtual events Research trends across residential, commercial, industrial, BTR, PBSA, retail, hotels, aged care, capital markets and emerging sectors Identify, secure and manage high-calibre speakers Work with the CEO to curate our flagship Urbanity program Speaker Identification and Management Identify, assess and secure speakers from leading developers, investors, policymakers, advisers and innovators Manage all aspects of speaker engagement, including outreach, briefing, preparation, scheduling, logistics and on-the-day coordination Build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile contributors and industry specialists Event Delivery Oversee planning, production and execution of all national events Manage schedules, budgets, suppliers, venues, AV and onsite operations Deliver exceptional attendee and stakeholder experiences across all event formats Commercial Performance Partner with the sales team to drive event revenue and sponsorship outcomes Support partnership development with integrated commercial opportunities Collaborate with marketing to grow registrations and strengthen event positioning Lead and mentor a high-performing team of event professionals Support capability development, resourcing and recruitment Champion a positive, accountable and high-performance culture About You Significant experience in event leadership, conference production or program direction Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering growth and revenue outcomes Deep industry knowledge or the ability to quickly build expertise in the real estate, property development and built environment sector Proven ability to build high-quality, insight-led programs Excellent communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills Strong project management capability and experience managing multiple concurrent events Confidence, leadership presence and the ability to uplift a team Why Join Us?
