Our Financial Assistance team reviews customer requests for financial hardship assistance and manages the end‑to‑end process while building strong relationships with customers. Responsibilities Provide support to financial distress customers and agree on a reasonable repayment option in line with internal financial hardship policy. Oversee the management of hardship cases, including reviewing requests, offering options, and monitoring agreements. Perform administrative duties related to ensuring process efficiency. Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner, solving customers’ problems and providing excellent service. Work with financial counsellors to develop workable solutions for both parties. Support the management of vulnerable customer cases, ensuring fair and appropriate treatment in adherence to internal policies. Collaborate with Collections Team Leaders on system updates, policy monitoring and strategic development. Assist in internal and external dispute resolution processes, including conciliation, reporting and documentation preparation. Demonstrate resilience, empathy, collaboration, detail orientation and self‑motivation with strong organisational, time and project management skills. Qualifications 2+ years experience in collections, financial hardship or a customer‑facing role with transferable skills. Understanding of debt collection processes, financial assistance policy and procedures. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (ACCC debt guidelines and NCCPA). Strong negotiation, communication and problem‑solving skills. Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities to manage workload within a close‑knit team.
