Senior/Estimator – Tier 3 Civil Contractor

Our client is an established Tier 3 civil contractor with a strong presence in both the public and private sectors. They are looking for an experienced and dedicated Estimator to join their growing business. As the Estimator you’ll work across numerous tenders in the civil sector valued between $100k and $3m, and will contribute to the successful delivery of challenging projects. Projects include government works, roads, streetscaping, landscaping, car parks, and general civil construction. Candidates will need strong communication skills as they will be part of the pre‑construction team, involved in putting tenders together, tender interviews, and negotiations. Projects are located across the Sydney Metro and the role is based out of the Sydney office. Responsibilities Work on tenders Coordinate internal and external resources Prepare and submit tenders Evaluate and review tender and estimating processes for cost effectiveness Negotiate tenders Coordinate tender handover to the project team Prepare budgets based on tender submissions Assess and price contract variation orders liaise with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants Qualifications and Requirements Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or similar 3+ years’ management experience on civil construction projects with project values of $1m+ Proven understanding of construction with a hands‑on approach Effective problem‑solving abilities High level of commercial acumen High level of organisation and time‑management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills If you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click “Apply” to submit your resume.
