Role Summary Based in Laverton North, you will join the 2,4 D Manufacturing team to produce key agricultural chemicals on a rotating 24/7 365 roster (4 days on / 4 days off, 12‑hour shifts). Follow supervisor instructions regarding plant organization, process control, quality non‑conformances and continuous improvement. Use unique equipment and processes in the production line. Troubleshoot and respond to operational issues. Apply disciplined handover and issue reporting systems. Drive improvement of operating processes and systems. Report plant or equipment faults to maintenance via the CMMS work request system. Lead 5S and plant cleanliness initiatives. Manage safe shutdown and startup of all equipment in the Plascon, herbicide, brine, chlorination, distillation plants and related processes. Adhere to operating procedures and safety regulations; wear required PPE. Report safety incidents or hazards immediately. Propose modifications to improve productivity, safety and quality. Apply Management of Change systems. Qualifications & Requirements Previous experience operating in a high‑hazard manufacturing environment (Chemical, Pharma, Oil/Gas, etc.) with knowledge of process control. Ability to monitor process capability, use structured problem‑solving tools and apply quality standards. Forklift licence (essential). Exposure to lean manufacturing principles. Comfort reading engineering drawings and technical documentation. Excellent communication skills and a safety‑oriented, procedural approach to machinery operation.
